NATIONAL apprenticeship provider T3 Training & Development is welcoming new applicants to the first of its 2018 courses.

T3 Training & Development - which is based in Barnsley - offers a variety of apprenticeship programmes including Design & Draughting, Digital Engineering and Project Control, along with a number of short courses aimed at the AEC sectors.

T3 Training and Development’s next intake in April is aimed at Apprentice Architectural & Structural Technicians/Engineers.

It’s free to the employer and has the benefit of a 10 week up front intense training programme focusing on AutoCAD, Architectural/Structural Detailing, Revit & Tekla, designed to allow apprentices to ‘hit the ground running’ on return to the workplace.

“Within my own company, specialist structural detailing and BIM consultancy T3 UK, I realised there was a massive Skills gap and lack of formal training for young structural technicians who were ready to take their place in the industry,” said T3 Managing Director Andy Adams.

“We needed alternative methods to fill the void in what is an industry wide problem and that’s when we realised that we needed the sort of course now being offered by T3 Training and Development.

“In our first full year we have had students from across the UK coming to Barnsley to take advantage of a groundbreaking new approach to training, delivering vocational training alongside academic work as part of a full apprenticeship programme.

“We aim our places primarily at 16 to 18-year-olds, but there is absolutely no barrier to older students or existing employees joining our courses. Apprenticeships are for everyone!”

And with an option for remote delivery, students can complete much of their course work from anywhere in the country.

“Our first year has proved an enormous success but now we are looking for young people to join our first 2018 intake, for a course that begins in April,” Andy said.

“One of the main advantages of what we are offering is that we will assist and represent companies who are actively looking for apprentices, matching the right student up with the right employer..

“This really is a complete package, aimed at supporting both employers and students at the same time as helping fill a need within the construction industry.”
