MEMBERS of Barnsley Inner Wheel have made a donation of £1,000 to leading dementia charity Lost Chord.
Lost Chord is the organisation that provides vital interactive musical experiences for people living with dementia in care homes and day centres across South Yorkshire and nationally.
The charity’s Chief Executive, Helena Muller, received the £1,000 donation from Barnsley Inner Wheel president Pam Bower.
“It is this sort of generous gesture that really is the life blood of Lost Chord,” said Helena.
“Their donation will contribute towards 12 sessions in the Barnsley area helping to impact on the lives of 250 people struggling with dementia.
“Barnsley’s care homes and day centres are at the heart of our local activities and we are delighted that this very special gift will ensure we can sustain our programme of musical sessions for people living with dementia in the town.”
Inner Wheel is the women’s organisation run by women for women, working together for the benefit of their community and further afield while enjoying friendship and fellowship.
